Discussion: What can you EXCHANGE?

 

Teach:

English Textbook Level One: Page 44 (Textbook Only)

Students should be taught how to read the story and understand what the story is about.

 

Ask the students questions in regards to the story that they have just read, such as the following:

 

1. Who went fishing?
2. What did the two men do?
3. What did the 1^st man cry out?
4. What did the 2^nd man cry out?
5. What did the 1^st may say?
6. What did the 2^nd man say?

** The above are some examples that can be used.

 

Focus Word(s): Cried – To Call Loudly; Shout; Yell (Verb), Went

Students already know the word YELL, and should understand the meaning of CRIED.

 

Note: Ask the students what they can see in the picture that is in their textbook.

Introduce what kind of occupations/jobs people can do.
